1st Line Oncology offers the latest in radiation technology with the state-of-the art Elekta Synergy®, an advanced digital linear accelerator that integrates a suite of imaging tools to enable high quality, 3D imaging at the time of treatment. This capability provides us with a solution to two of the most persistent and significant problems in radiation therapy: internal organ motion and errors in patient set-up. This advanced technology allows us to more aggressively treat tumors, while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
1st Line Oncology also uses the ground-breaking GE LightSpeed VCT CT imaging systems to provide highly detailed images of the human body while reducing radiation exposure to patients and improving physicians' ability to diagnose patient conditions. The LightSpeed VCT CT scanner provides our clinicians with high-resolution images in a fraction of the time previously required, enabling them to more accurately plan a course of treatment. There’s an added benefit to the environment as well. With this latest technology being filmless and paperless, there is no need for chemicals in the facility and therefore, no waiting time for film processing. This system also allows us to pinpoint the target area before every treatment.
