After graduating from Indiana University with a B.S. in Radiation Therapy, Dawn worked as a radiation therapist for many years. She then had an opportunity to
travel to Wisconsin to study dosimetry under an excellent physicist. After working as a dosimetrist for a few years, she went on to become a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. As 1st Line Oncology’s Medical Dosimetrist, Dawn specializes in developing patient treatment plans. Once the Radiation Oncologist defines the cancer and decides how much radiation needs to be delivered, Dawn will review the CT’s of all new patients and outlining the “critical structures” (the sensitive areas) of the body that must receive limited radiation exposure. Dawn is a highly respected expert in her field and at 1st Line Oncology, she is an integral member of the radiation oncology team.
