With over 20 years in the field, Farid Al-Ali has extensive academic and clinical experience in medical physics services. As a Medical Physicist at1st Line Oncology, Farid’s primary role is to assure that the highest level of quality care is maintained. He is responsible for selecting and specifying the types of equipment that is used in radiation therapy as well as ensuring safe and effective delivery of radiation doses to achieve the prescribed therapeutic results. Using established Medical Physics protocols, he measures, analyzes and determines the accuracy and quality of radiation dose delivery. He performs calibration, daily QA and dose verification to provide optimum treatment for patients. Farid obtained his B.S. in Physics (with honors) from Roosevelt University in Chicago and he possesses an M.S. Medical Physics (with honors) from DePaul University. In addition to numerous certifications and special course training, Farid is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) and the Florida Chapter of Medical Physicists (FL-AAPM).
