Jill trained as a Radiation Therapist at The University of Florida Shands Cancer Center. She worked as a Radiation Therapist for many years. In 2003, Jill had the opportunity to train as a Medical Dosimetrist with great dosimetry and physics mentoring. After working as a Medical Dosimetrist for two years, she went on to become a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. As 1st Line Oncology’s Medical Dosimetrist, Jill specializes in developing patient treatment plans. Once the Radiation Oncologist defines the cancer and decides how much radiation needs to be delivered, Jill reviews the patient’s CT, MRI, PET or other imaging studies with the radiation oncologist outlining the “critical structures” (the sensitive areas) of the body that must receive limited radiation exposure. Jill is a highly respected expert in her field and at 1st Line Oncology, she is an integral member of the radiation oncology team.
